The Intersect Menu
The Intersect menu contains functions that are used to compute the locations of points of intersection between various configurations of lines and arcs. Several of these routines include intersections of lines with known arcs, and even the intersection of two arcs. In cases where one of the known entities is an arc, "Sight" Survey computes the complete curve data for the resulting arc segment as well.
Other routines in this section are used to calculate offset intersection points and perpendicular offsets from a point to a base line, particularly helpful when figuring offsets from a property line to a building corner. Finally, a three point resection is also included to compute coordinates of a point from three known points when only angular data is known.
