So just how easy is the Collector Connector to use?
The program begins and ends at the Configuration Menu. This screen allows you to select configuration items by moving the cursor with your arrow keys or mouse. A selected item may then be updated by choosing from the item's parameters as displayed in a pop-up menu.
After setting the configuration information, your next step is to select your data recorder type from the menu of supported data recorders. To access the menu, simply highlight the Data Collector field using the cursor keys and press <Enter>, or select the field with your mouse. When the menu of collectors appears, select the correct collector by once again using your cursor keys or your mouse.
The next step involves the selection of a data file type from the menu of supported file formats. To access this menu, highlight the File Type field using the cursor keys and press <Enter>, or select the field with your mouse. When the File Format menu appears, select your file format by once again using your cursor keys or your mouse. It couldn't be easier.
Or could it?
Of course it could! How? On-line help is available at the touch of a key! And, the Collector Connector will store all of your configuration information between sessions, so in most cases, you can skip setting the COM port parameters, collector and file type selection and get right to work! All that remains is to enter the file name and select Send, Receive or Convert.
